Resort Renovation Page


Below is an overview of some resort-wide updates and improvements  completed by the owner's association in recent years, as well as the current fire suppression and enclosure project.  Although this list is not all inclusive (ongoing annual room refurbishment is not included, for instance), it gives you an idea of how far we've come!  In addition, at the end of this page are some additional resort-wide improvements that have been made to The Reef! Thank you for your support!


- FIRE SUPPRESSION AND ROADSIDE CORRIDOR ENCLOSURE PROJECT -
This project is estimated to be completed by the end of 2020 with the help
of an Owner Approved Special Assessment.

- WEST END IMPROVEMENT PROJECT -
Completed May, 2016
No Special Assessment

Summary of the West End project:

Replaced and rebuilt the underground retaining wall from unit 125 - 140
 

New enclosed entrances near units 133/135 and 138/140
 

All new siding on the front of the building and glass railings on the 3rd floor
 

New windows to enclose the ground floor
 

New stone work on the entrances and support pillars
 

 

- NEW BEACH ACCESS RAMP & DECK -

- STAIRWAY, RAILING & WALL PROJECT -
Completed  2005 - 2006

      Advantages of the Stairway, Railing & Shingle Project:

 New, rebuilt railing is stronger, safer and nearly maintenance free.  Shingle exterior improves curb appeal and requires much less maintenance
 
 Steel & cement stairs are safer and provide more traction & less maintenance.  Staircase is partially enclosed to keep out snow & rain
 
 New white trim and gutters improve curb appeal and require less maintenance
 

- ELEVATOR PROJECT -
Completed August, 2003

Advantages of the elevator project include:

 Provide handicapped access to all floors from the parking lot level and safer & easier transportation of luggage, supplies, furniture, etc.
 
 Make upper floor units more desirable to current and prospective owners, exchange guests and renters
 
 Improve our curb appeal & continue the design theme of the renovated  lobby & front entrance (see below)
 

- KITCHEN PROJECT -
Completed December, 2002

Typical Kitchen Configuration - West End 1 Bedroom Units
 

Kitchen Updates Done to all Units:

 Replacement of all cabinets, countertops, sinks and appliances
 
 Installation of dishwashers in all units
 
 Replacement & relocation of the microwaves to above the stove, creating more counter space
 


- FRONT LOBBY & CANOPY PROJECT -
Completed 1998 (Lobby) and 2001 (Canopy)
