statement on the coronavirus (cOVID-19)
The Pinestead Reef Resort has remained open during the weeks of the “stay-at-home” order and continues to be ready to welcome guests, albeit with the required guidelines as set forth by the State of Michigan, CDC, and the Grand Traverse Health Department. The lobby remains closed at this time, however, the hours for the Front Desk have been expanded from 08:00AM until 11:00PM until further notice.
Effective June 10, 2020, the pool area is once again allowed to be open. The governor’s executive order stipulates that the capacity of the pool area cannot exceed 25% of the total capacity allowed, which puts the total number of guests allowed at this time at 12. All guests must adhere to this order.
Our housekeeping staff will deliver any sheet and/or towel exchange or any other items requested to the unit, but will not enter any occupied rooms and will only enter those rooms until the guest has checked out. Once the room is vacated, the housekeeping staff will do a full wipe-down and sanitizing of the unit, including furniture and draperies. All bedding, including sheets, blankets, bedspreads, mattress covers, pillows and pillow covers will be removed from the unit and washed in our laundry facility.
To limit staff-to-guest interaction, critical maintenance or security issues in occupied units will be handled as required. Other non-critical issues may be deferred until the unit is vacated.
We look forward to welcoming you to our resort in the near future!
